This exquisite German-language country-of-origin poster is one of the few known examples. This poster is the rarer German version, featuring full credits, while an export version exists without any credits or title, relying solely on the graphics.

Peter Lorre gave a haunting performance as a child murderer in Fritz Lang's early sound drama. The folded poster had pinholes, border wear with chips, and sporadic edge tears. It has been professionally linen-backed with touch-ups for small areas of paper loss in the lower right corner and on the hand's wrist. The colors remain vibrant, contrasting dramatically with the jet-black background. This poster is a rare find from this classic precursor to the Film-Noir genre.

Director Fritz Lang introduced the dark themes of European cinema to America, creating a series of classic noir films, including "The Big Heat," "Scarlet Street," and "Woman in the Window." His film "M," now considered a precursor to the Film-Noir genre, propelled Peter Lorre to stardom. Based on a true story, the film features Lorre in the role of a child murderer who is pursued by both the German police and the criminal underworld.
