A Rivendell candleholder from Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Rivendell, the candle-lit Elvish sanctuary in Middle-earth, appeared throughout the franchise, including when Aragorn (Viggo Mortensen) led the Hobbits there while in disguise as Strider in The Fellowship of the Ring, when Elrond (Hugo Weaving) argued that Arwen (Liv Tyler) flee in The Two Towers, and when the Fellowship reunited in The Return of the King.

This braided wooden candleholder originated from Wellington-based woodworker Lawrence Ainsworth, who hand-carved it and others for the Rivendell set. The wood is lacquered and intentionally aged by production. A letter of authenticity from the propmaker is included with this lot. The candleholder exhibits nicks along the body and candle wax residue from production. Dimensions: 14.75 cm x 14.75 cm x 30.5 cm (5.75" x 5.75" x 12")
