Faramir's (David Wenham) sword from Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Faramir carried his sword as he crossed paths with Frodo Baggins (Elijah Wood), and resisted the temptation of the One Ring.

A highly praised film, The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers was the highest grossing film of 2002, and considered one of the best sequel films of all time. Since its release, it has received 138 nominations across various awards and has won 132 of them, including two Academy Awards®, three BAFTAs®, one Critics Choice Award®, one Grammy®, one People's Choice Award®, and five Guinness World Records, among many others.

WETA Workshop designed and created five major elements of the franchise: armor, weapons, prosthetics, creatures, and miniatures. Master swordsmith Peter Lyon forged the swords used for close-ups and fighting, as well as the rubber versions. This sword was originally provided by WETA Workshop to licensee United Cutlery as a reference piece for licensed replicas.

It features a fullered metal blade with dull edges, and a resin hilt. The crossguard and pommel are painted in a metallic silver-color with gold-color embellishments, while the handle is painted in a dark green. On the center of the crossguard is a hand-painted image of two birds in reference to Gondor's recurring bird motifs. This lot exhibits some discoloration to the paint on the hilt as well as mild pitting from the curing process. Dimensions: 39" x 7.5" x 2" (99.5 cm x 19.5 cm x 5.5 cm)
