A Stunt Magnum Research BFR Display from the 2012 Rian Johnson time travel thriller, Looper. In the film, Joe (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) works for the mob as a Looper, a hitman who waits for his subdued targets from the future to be sent back in time to 2074, where he awaits with a Blunderbuss shotgun. Unfortunately for Joe, his world is turned upside down when the mob sends his future self (Bruce Willis) back in time for Joe to 'close the loop.'
Magnum Research BFR's are wielded by Joe's fellow loopers, as well as the Gat men, who protect the mob boss. Made from rubber, stunt weapons such as this piece are commonly used for distance shots where a hero piece is not needed; they are lighter and therefore easier for the actors to handle. They are also used for stunt sequences where the actor could possibly fall on the prop and injure themselves if they were holding the hero version.
This item comes presented in a custom-built opening frame display with a UV-Plexi facing over a laser-cut mount board featuring the film’s title as well as two stills from the film. The display can be easily opened and closed by use of magnets on the side, allowing for easy access to the prop, which remains in very good condition.
The violent crime reduction bill means that this particular prop can only be sold to customers who reside outside the UK. Generally speaking, it is illegal for a resident of the UK to buy this item.
