Matthew Axelson's (Ben Foster) Tactical Vest and Stunt Beretta 92FS from Peter Berg's 2014 war drama, Lone Survivor. Tasked with capturing or killing the notorious Taliban leader, Ahmad Shah, SEAL Team 10 encounters more than they bargained for during their dangerous mission, Operation Red Wings. 'Axe' can be wearing this tactical vest during the deadly mission in Afghanistan. To guarantee the accuracy of the film, SEAL Team 10 survivor Marcus Luttrell was brought in to supervise the use and display of all tactical gear.
Manufactured by Pantac USA, Axe's vest features numerous compartments for ammunition and accessories, and has been distressed by production with dirt and stage blood from the SEAL team's deadly mission. This vest has several accessories including a tactical radio, Blackhawk carabiner, four ammunition magazines, and two faux hand grenade. Most of these accessories have been constructed from rubber, allowing them to be lightweight. Axe's vest has also been labeled as "Axelson Stunt 3."
Also included is Axe's stunt Beretta 92FS which is made from foam rubber. Cast from an actual Beretta, this stunt firearm includes original factory inscriptions on the sides of the weapon. Stunt weapons such as this piece are commonly used for distance shots when a hero piece is not needed; they are lighter and therefore easier for the actors to handle. They are also used for stunt sequences in which the actor could possibly fall on the prop and injure themselves if they were holding the hero version.
This lot features wear from production distressing and stunt work, however all items remain in very good used condition.
The violent crime reduction bill means that this particular prop can only be sold to customers who reside outside the UK. Generally speaking, it is illegal for a resident of the UK to buy this item.
Exemptions are for N.A.R.E.S (or similar) registered re-enactors, public museums/galleries or use in a film, television or theatrical production. In all cases paperwork will be required to complete the sale
