Marcus Luttrell's (Mark Wahlberg) Backpack and Medical Supplies from Peter Berg's 2014 war drama, Lone Survivor. Tasked with capturing or killing the notorious Taliban leader, Ahmad Shah, SEAL Team 10 encounters more than they bargained for during their dangerous mission, Operation Red Wings. Luttrell can be wearing this backpack during the deadly mission in Afghanistan. To guarantee the accuracy of the film, the real SEAL Team 10 survivor Marcus Luttrell was brought in to supervise the use and display of all tactical gear.
Manufactured by Kelty, Luttrell's backpack is the MAP 3500 model and is made for military and tactical purposes. This Military Assault Pack's (MAP) is made from nylon and includes numerous adjustable straps and compartments with sniper netting bound to the bottom. The backpack has been lightly production distressed with dirt, and includes a few straps that have been wrapped in tan colored tape, giving the piece a weathered appearance. Inside the backpack compartments are a number of medical supplies, including gauze bandages, nasal tubes, waterproof tape, scissors, and latex gloves.
This lot shows minor wear from production use, and does not display significant distressing, indicating that it was likely used early in the film. The set remains in excellent used condition.
