One-Sheets (2) & New York Subway (27" x 41" & 27" x 41" & 44.5" x 59.5"); Advance (One-Sheet) Advance One-Sheet Autographed by Novelist William F. Nolan (Beckett COA.).
Fine+ Folded; Artist Charles Moll (Regular One-Sheet & New York Subway)
MGM , 1976
This three-piece sci-fi lot for Logan's Run fans includes two one-sheets, an advance and regular version, and a lesser-seen New York Subway poster with artwork by Charles Moll. Plus the advance poster is signed by original Logan's Run novelist William F. Nolan.
All three posters have bright and clean images. The advance poster has minor general scattered crimping, fold wear, and cross-fold wear. The signature is bright and clear. The regular poster has staple marks with a slight pull in the upper left and right and there is a tape residue that bleeds through all four corners from the verso. The lower poster edge has tape residue and missing paper, some of which have been reinforced on the verso with archival tape. Finally, the subway poster is in immaculate condition. The autograph is authenticated and includes an additional COA from Beckett Authentication Services.
Based on a novel by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson, the story follows Sandman Logan 5 (Michael York), who is tasked with tracking and terminating those who choose to run rather than face renewal until his 30th birthday nears. Notable for its innovative use of holograms and wide-angle lenses, the film was a distinct departure from other sci-fi pictures of the day. The result was a Special Achievement Award at the Oscars, honoring the film's impressive visual effects.
Estimate: $300 - 600
