David Jordan's IVA space suit from Daniel Espinosa's sci-fi horror Life. Jordan wore his suit as he and Miranda North entered the two remaining escape pods, fleeing the doomed International Space Station.
The costume consists of a helmet, a brown leather skullcap with beige paneling, a beige cotton jumpsuit, beige boots, and a backpack with plastic tubing for internal air flow system (untested). The plastic tubing and rig features "J2" and "JORDAN 2" hand-marked in black marker on attached masking tape. A hand-marked "FAN BAR" bag includes seven rubber and plastic components.
The helmet features metal banding, strips of boning at the back with visible stitching, a transparent plastic visor, and a black throat microphone positioned near the skullcap's chinstrap. The suit features a dual front-zip closure with embroidered hook-and-loop-adhered mission patches. Various components are adhered to the front, including metal buckled silver-color nylon straps, fabric-wrapped nylon mesh tubing with metal quick-attach waist connectors, blue strips on the arms, and a plastic gauge on the left sleeve. A gray utility strap runs across the chest, with "D. Jordan" namestrip with blue English and Cyrillic text. The backpack features mesh panels, two straps and a zip. Included are three pairs of unworn production-acquired beige cashmere gloves with original manufacturer's hang tags; one pair of worn like aforesaid type; and three pairs of white cotton gloves. The lot exhibits minimal staining, metal scratches, and scuff marks.
