Rory Adams' spacesuit costume from Daniel Espinosa's Life. Adams wore his spacesuit while he retrieved the soil samples from the probe and brought them into the International Space Station.
Life is considered to be Reynolds' first notable sci-fi horror movie that subverted audiences' expectations, both in Reynold's usual comedic roles, and for the character Adams' storyline.
This costume consists of one faux-leather flight cap with attached headset and a white tag hand-marked "Adams" in black ink; a white padded spacesuit torso with metal ring collar and cuffs, as well as plastic, resin, and rubber components, and a hand-marked tag on the interior for "Adams" and the principal actor; a pair of white webbed nylon shoulder pads to support the suit with a hand-marked tag for "Adams" and the principal actor; a pair of white under gloves; a pair of spacesuit gloves with rubber fingertips and metal buckles; a tool belt with metal, plastic, and foam components; a white spacesuit midsection with a hand-marked tag for "Adams" and the principal actor; a pair of white padded space suit pants with metal hardware and a hand-marked tag for "Adams" and the principal actor; a pair of white canvas shoes with rock soles; and a pair of spacesuit boots with hand-marked tags for "Adams" and the principal actor. The spacesuit torso contains attached wires. Also included are two pairs of white fingerless gloves. This costume exhibits discoloration, scuffed components, chipped paint, and ink bleed on the tags.
