This lot will be sold on Wednesday 2nd December (day 2 of the auction.) Lots 464-913 will be sold on day 2 (lots 1-463 will be sold on day 1). The auction will begin at 2:00 pm GMT. Javert's (Russell Crowe) stunt cavalry sabre from Tom Hooper's historical musical Les MisÃ©rables. Javert's sword was seen when he rode his horse.

The sword is made of rubber with a metal amature and is hand-painted to look like metal and leather, with a faux-gold handle. It is set into its scabbard and features an ornate lion-head pommel. Two metal loops along the scabbard allow it to be mounted to a saddle. The sword has some wear from production use and age, including scuffing and scratches. The faux-metal paint has faded slightly and there are imperfections in the rubber from the moulding process. Dimensions: 95 cm x 5 cm x 12 cm (37 1/2" x 2" x 4 3/4")
