A hero flintlock pistol used by the student revolutionary Enjolras (Aaron Tveit) in the musical epic Les Misérables (2012). Based on the classic novel by Victor Hugo, Les Misérables tells the story of reformed convict Jean Valjean (Hugh Jackman) and his attempts to leave his criminal past behind him, constantly dogged by the persistent and ruthless Inspector Javert (Russell Crowe).
This hero pistol was used by Enjolras after the student revolutionaries hijack the carriage containing the body of General Lamarque, fighting off the soldiers of the French dragoons and cavalry side by side with Marius (Eddie Redmayne) atop the carriage before driving it through Paris and raising their barricade.

The pistol is a vintage .69 Charleville muzzle loader, featuring a polished steel barrel, a brass body and varnished woodwork. The weapon shows clear signs of use with marks to the pan, woodwork, trigger guard and barrel, and has been deactivated in a sympathetic manner, with the flintlock action, powder pan and trigger still operational. A steel ram rod, fitted within a recess on the trigger guard, is also included.

Well used on the production, the pistol remains in a very good production-used condition, and comes presented on a bespoke light-up display stand featuring the film’s logo and a description of the piece. The light-up function is activated by a switch on the display’s rear. The display measures 32cm x 26cm x 10.5cm (12.75” x 10.25” x 4.25”). A certificate of deactivation is also included with this piece.
