A Ronnie Kray (Tom Hardy) mugshot and pair of glasses from the production of Brian Helgeland’s 2015 film about the notorious Kray twins, Legend.

The film tells the story of how during the 1960s London was terrorised by gangster twins Ronnie (Tom Hardy) and Reggie Kray (also Tom Hardy) during the 1960s.

The glasses are those that Ronnie, the more unhinged of the two Krays, wears throughout the film and also make an appearance in the mugshot, which features prominently at the police station where ‘Nipper’ Read (Christopher Eccleston) is investigating the pair. It once again appears just before the closing credits when the fate of the two Krays is described.

The glasses feature plastic lenses (that have no eyesight-correcting capabilities) and thick black plastic rims, connect with a gold-coloured metal bridge. They come in a hard black glasses case which has a sticker stuck to it which reads '2. Ron Kray All Changes (Except 17)' which means that he wears them throughout all of his costume changes, bar the 17th one.

The mugshot has two pictures of Hardy as Ronnie, one from his right sight, the other straight on. It has no obvious markings so was not pinned to a board in the police station.

The glasses exhibit only very minor wear from production use and storage, including some scuffing on the temples and rim. The mugshot has no obvious wear on the picture side, but does feature a line of dark marking on the reverse. Together the pieces are in excellent condition.
