A hand-marked clapperboard from Ivan Reitman's Legal Eagles. Legal Eagles was another critical and commercial hit for Reitman following his historic success with Ghostbusters, earning more than $93 million at the global box office as well as a prestigious Jupiter Award® nomination for Best International Actress for Debra Winger.
This acrylic clapperboard with a striped wooden slate originates from the collection of first assistant camera Joseph E. Thibo, who collaborated with Reitman on Ghostbusters as well as such later hits as Kindergarten Cop and Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot. The film's name, director "Reitman," cinematographer "Kovacs," and the date "3-17-86" are affixed to the acrylic slate, while the roll "12" scene "37" take "1" are handwritten in black ink.
Also included is a Los Angeles Times newspaper insert featuring the story "Seeing Redford In A New Light," dated for "Thursday, December 12, 1985." This lot shows wear consistent with on-set use, handling, and age. Dimensions: (largest) 13.75" x 15" x 0.5" (35 cm x 38 cm x 1.5 cm)
