This unique sculptural artwork of an open book depicts the smiling face of the iconic American actress Marilyn Monroe on the right-hand page. The title, Monroe Pluck Off, refers to the artist's technique of delicately plucking the paper to create an almost feather-like texture. Dimensions: 59 cm x 36 cm x 9 cm (23.25" x 14.25" x 3.5")

About the Artist:
Lee Jihyun is a Korean contemporary artist whose work spans painting, sculpture, and spatial installation. She is known for pushing the boundaries of the canvas by cutting, reconfiguring, and integrating real objects into her compositions. This approach creates layered spaces that explore the tension between private and public environments.
Lee has exhibited widely in Korea and abroad, with notable solo shows including Pluck Off (2007) in Seoul and Tokyo, as well as exhibitions at Arario Gallery, Shimada Gallery, and Artside Gallery Beijing. Her innovative practice has earned multiple awards, including the Grand Prize at the Insa Art Festival (2007) and Superior Prizes at major national art exhibitions.
