Doris Murphy (Rosie O'Donnell), Shirley Baker (Ann Cusack), and Betty "Spaghetti" Horn's Rockford Peaches uniform costumes with a baseball shirt from the promotion of Penny Marshall's A League of Their Own autographed by star Tom Hanks. After being appointed team manager for the Rockford Peaches, Jimmy Dugan (Hanks) put Doris on third base, Shirley at left field, and Spaghetti at additional left field and relief pitcher.
This lot consists of three cotton-polyester blend pink dresses featuring a three-button front enclosure, a side-zipper, waist belt loops, a red and pink "City of Rockford Peaches" embroidered chest patch depicting scales, a patriotically colored AAGPBL embroidered patch on the left sleeve. One dress (size S) features the large maroon "11" patches, another dress (size S) features "7," and the last dress (size L) features the patches "22." Also included is a white cotton Made In Heaven jersey (size L) embroidered "Peaches" and "A League of Their Own" and autographed by Hanks in black ink. This lot exhibits discoloration along the hems and stains on the "7" dress.
Additional Provenance: A signed Letter of Authenticity from JSA authenticating Tom Hanks' autograph.
