A collection of Virtual Light Institute ID cards from the sci-fi sequel Lawnmower Man 2. In the film, a group of altruistic computer hackers embark on a dangerous mission to stop power-hungry business mogul Jonathan Walker (Kevin Conway) from taking control of the world through a virtual reality network.

Identification cards like these are used by employees of the Virtual Light Institute in order to gain access to restricted areas of the laboratory. Dr. Platt can be seen using her ID to break into Walker’s office as she attempts to help the hackers foil his plot. Similarly, the film’s hero Dr. Benjamin Trace (Patrick Bergin) can be seen stealing Dr. Platt’s ID to get access to the lab. While Jonathan and Jennifer are never seen using an ID card in the film, they both appear in the lab during several scenes throughout the film. The top of the card is a Navy blue color and features the Virtual Light Institute logo, and a hole-punch to allow a lanyard to be strung through the card. The bottom half of the card features the name of the company, the name of the employee as well an employee identification number. The back of the card is white with a generic barcode running the width of the ID. Lot exhibits delamination and edgewear.
