A photograph and research archive featuring Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy. Laurel and Hardy are one of the most iconic comedy double-acts in film history and made dozens of films together during their partnership from 1927-1955.

This archive was compiled during the research for Ray Andrew's book "On the Trail of Charlie Hall." Hall was an actor and regular collaborator with the duo, appearing in nearly 50 films and often as an antagonist. The lot comprises dozens of photographs of Hall, Laurel, Hardy and others; two vinyl records; a copy of Hall's birth certificate; a comic strip from 1941; a hand-drawn, doodle-style portrait of Hall; photographs from a reunion of Laurel and Hardy friends and associates; a printed copy of the script for Laurel and Hardy's 1933 film "Me and My Pal"; several letters to author Ray Andrews, including a draft foreword by Lois Laurel Hawes, daughter of Stan Laurel; and finally, a copy of the book, signed by the author.
