A complete set of samurai armour with a Katsumoto clan flag and a stunt katana from Edward Zwick's historical drama The Last Samurai. Samurai fighting under the command of Katsumoto (Ken Watanabe) wore armour during the film's various battle sequences.
The armour comprises a do torso piece (labelled "Keiya Tabuchi SIIk" in black marker), with sode shoulder guards (labelled "Taka Hero" in black marker) and a kusazuri skirt guard, all made of durable vinyl with incorporated cotton straps. It also features a spiked rubber helmet; a pair of cotton sleeves plated with rubber armour plating and chainmail (both labelled "Kenta 3" in black marker); a pair of rubber-plated cotton suneate shin guards; and a hard rubber chin guard (labelled "KHRS-4" in black marker). Keiya Tabuchi is a credited stunt performer on the production.
The clothing components accompanying the armour comprise a brown jacket (labelled "Ikegam" and "a22" in black marker); a pair of matching trousers (labelled "Small" and "A4" in black marker); a red fabric sash belt; a rubber-padded cotton tunic (labelled "Katsumoto Clan" in black marker); and a pair of yellow straw sandals.
The stunt katana has a resin hilt with a hard rubber guard. The blade and sheath are also made of hard rubber and are painted to look like metal and black leather, respectively. The flag is made of cotton and depicts the mystical tiger of the Katsumoto clan. Dimensions (katana in sheath): 98.5 cm x 9 cm x 7 cm (38.75" x 3.5" x 2.75")
