Nathan Algren's (Tom Cruise) hero cavalry sword from Edward Zwick's historical war epic The Last Samurai. Algren uses his sabre in battle against the Samurai until his capture by Katsumoto (Ken Watanabe).

The sword has a dulled steel blade with a slight curvature. Its handle is wrapped in black leather and gold-coloured wire, and includes a winding brass guard. The lot includes a steel scabbard, featuring two rings which allow the piece to attach to a belt. The metal has some tarnishing. Dimensions (in scabbard): 112 cm x 12 cm x 9 cm (44" x 4 3/4" x 3 1/2")
