A retractable weapon blade device from the production of Michael Mann's 1992 historical epic The Last of the Mohicans.
Retractable blades were used throughout the film during different battle scenes. These blades were designed for the Native American soldiers in the film. When the blade encounters resistance, it retracts back into the device, creating the illusion that the blade is actually entering the source of resistance.
The device has accumulated substantial amounts of rust from storage, but the blade only shows signs of minor wear. Overall, the device is in good condition.
