A Kubo face box gift set from Travis Knight’s fantasy-adventure film Kubo and the Two Strings. Gifted to reviewers and critics during the film’s theatrical release, this lot consists of three puppet faces from the production that were created by renowned stop-motion animation studio, Laika. The faces include Kubo (voiced by Art Parkinson), Monkey (voiced by Charlize Theron), and Beetle (voiced by Matthew McConaughey).
Each face is made of 3D-printed resin and would have attached to the head via magnets, allowing puppeteers to quickly switch out the characters’ expressions. The set remains in very fine condition, and is accompanied by an official Laika certificate of authenticity.
