A fire mares concept illustration hand-painted by Greg Hildebrandt from the production of Peter Yates' sci-fi fantasy Krull. Colwyn (Ken Marshall) and his comrades wrangled a herd of fire mares to race to the Black Fortress before sunrise.

This illustration of the fire mares racing with their hooves aflame is rendered in acrylic on paper and signed in black in the bottom right corner by Hildebrandt. It exhibits some signs of storage and handling, having been in Hildebrandt's personal storage since the 1980s. Dimensions: 17.75" x 12.25" (45.25 cm x 31.25 cm)
