A prop candlestick holder used in the production of the tongue-in-cheek action-adventure film Kingsman: The Secret Service.
Taken from a life of booze and petty crime, former Marine Gary “Eggsy” Unwin (Taron Egerton) is trained by secret agent Harry Hart (Colin Firth) in the ways of the gentleman spy to join the secretive Kingsman intelligence organisation.
This weapon and others like it were used for the scenes in which Harry fights during the church brawl – small candlesticks were wielded by several congregation members and were seen on the preacher’s lectern before the fight broke out.
Made of soft rubber with a metal armature within for strength and rigidity, the weapon was made to ensure the safety of performers during the fight sequence and is designed to look like a candlestick holder and features a short one-handed pole with a small flat-bottomed base - the spiked top is missing from this item. The weapon is finished in faux-gold paint.
Well used on the production, the weapon shows some signs of wear from use including some slight deformation to the spike on the head. However, in spite of this wear, the piece remains in overall good condition.
Materials: Rubber, Ferrous Metals.
