A stunt crutch used for the production of the church fight scene in tongue-in-cheek action-adventure Kingsman: The Secret Service.
Taken from a life of booze and petty crime, former Marine Gary “Eggsy” Unwin (Taron Egerton) is trained by secret agent Harry Hart (Colin Firth) in the ways of the gentleman spy to join the secretive Kingsmen intelligence organisation.
This weapon and others like it were used during the scenes where Harry fought during the church brawl. Made from soft rubber with an inner metal armature for strength and rigidity, the crutch was designed for performer safety during the chaotic sequence.
It has been painted silver and grey to resemble a real hospital-issue crutch, complete with handle, ‘height adjustment’ holes and rubber end stopper. The arm cuff is missing, but does not appear to be part of the original design.
Displaying marks, dirt and worn areas of paint from use in production, the crutch remains in very good overall condition.
Materials: Rubber, Ferrous Metal.
