King Arthur

Lancelot's (Ioan Gruffudd) Stunt Shield

Stock #17611

"There is no worse death than the end of hope."

Lancelot’s stunt shield (Ioan Gruffudd) from Antoine Fuqua’s 2004 historical drama King Arthur.

A historical retelling of the legend King Arthur, giving an insight into the realistic and political period of when Arthur ruled. The story displays the life of Arthur (Clive Owen), with the help of the brave knights of the round table, as they battle to protect the Britons from the destructive Saxons, in the Roman withdrawal from Britannia.

The shield was owned by Gruffudd’s character Lancelot, seen throughout the film as the brave soldier chasing the Saxons until the final defeat on the battlefield. Made from fiberglass, with a foam back, the shield is painted red and gold coloured, with a black vacuum formed plastic boss attached in the centre. The piece is carried using a brown leather strap secured at the rear with metal fastenings.

The piece has spent some time in storage and it has some scratches and scuffs, paint splatter marks and a chip in the fiberglass. However it remains in good production-used condition.

Materials: Fibreglass, Foam, Wood, Leather, Plastic.
