Printed Tyrannosaurus Rex go-motion storyboards and hand-drawn armature designs from Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi film Jurassic Park. Phil Tippett is credited as the film’s Dinosaur Supervisor, and produced stop-motion animatics for the dinosaur sequences, as well as supervised the CG animation. Tippett won the Oscar^® for Best Visual Effects for his work on this film at the 66th Academy Awards^®.

This lot consists of four pages of printed storyboards and a single hand-drawn illustration. The printed storyboards depict an alternate ending sequence in which a T-Rex pursues Dr. Grant (Sam Neill) and the kids as they escape via helicopter. Each of the storyboard pages note ‘(GO MOTION)’. The hand-drawn drafting shows the armature within the T-Rex and is drawn in 1”=1’ scale.

The lot shows minor wear to the paper due to production use and age, however the set remains in good condition. Dimensions: (storyboards) 8 ½” x 11” (22 cm x 28 cm); (drafting) 18” x 24” (46 cm x 61 cm)
