An amber with a mosquito in a stone matrix from Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park. During a visit from Donald Gennaro (Martin Ferrero), Juanito Rostagno's (Miguel Sandoval) men uncovered an amber stone containing a preserved mosquito - the very species John Hammond (Richard Attenborough) used to clone the dinosaurs of Jurassic Park - in the Mano de Dios amber mine.

While stones of this style were also created for the promotional campaign, this stone with the silhouette of a mosquito at its tip originates from a crew member on the production, though it differs slightly from the version seen most clearly in the final cut. It is cast from opaque resin and hand-painted to resemble fossilized amber. The stone is intentionally distressed by production to appear ancient with pits, grooves, and edges cut unevenly. It exhibits some scratching and paint flaking from handling. Dimensions: 5" x 4" x 2.5" (12.75 cm x 10.25 cm x 6.5 cm)
