A velociraptor pre-production paint test claw from Steven Spielberg's Jurassic Park. Velociraptors hunted the main characters after escaping their fortified pen, and used their claws to eviscerate prey and when opening the complex doors during the film's climax.

Animator and effects artist Phil Tippett was the Dinosaur Animation Supervisor. Tippett Studios produced key video animatics, using traditional stop-motion animation to plan shots and train digital animators in creature movement. Tippett, along with Dennis Muren, Stan Winston, and Michael Lantieri won an Academy Award® for Best Effects - Visual Effects, a Saturn Award® for Best Special Effects, and a BAFTA Film Award® for Best Special Effects.

This velociraptor claw is made of resin and hand-painted to look as realistic as possible with a resin knob. This lot exhibits chipped paint. Dimensions: 6.5" x 6" x 1.5" (16.5 cm x 15.25 cm x 4 cm)
