A lightweight gameboard faceplate from Joe Johnston's Jumanji. Alan Parrish (Robin Williams), Sarah Whittle (Bonnie Hunt), Judy Shepherd (Kirsten Dunst), and Peter Shepherd (Bradley Pierce) played a mysterious but dangerous magic game called Jumanji which featured a distinctive faceplate.

Created for the scene where a pelican picked up the game board, the board was made of thin lightweight material to be supported by the pelican puppet. This fiberglass faceplate features the word "Jumanji" in front of a scenic background including volcanoes, Acacia trees, shrubbery, and characters from the game and film, including a monkey, a rhinoceros, an elephant, and big game hunter Van Pelt (Jonathan Hyde) on the corners. The faceplate is hand-painted red, green, and brown on top of a beige base and intentionally distressed by production to appear aged and worn. This lot exhibits chipped fiberglass along the elephant's trunk and the monkey's head. Dimensions: 14" x 11" x 0.25" (35.75 cm x 28 cm x 0.75 cm)
