Judge Dredd (1995)

Yellow Taxi 237 Number Plate

Stock #75210

”Emotions... there ought to be a law against them.”

A taxi number plate from Danny Cannon’s 1995 big-screen adaptation of the classic British comic Judge Dredd.

In a dystopian future Judges are allowed to dish out judiciary powers immediately. Judge Dredd (Sylvester Stallone) – the most notorious of the Judges – is convicted of a crime he didn’t commit, and must fight to clear his name.

This number plate and others like it appeared on the yellow taxi cabs that drove around Mega City One. These were seen most notably at the beginning of the film during the street riot where cars were being burned.

The plate is made of MDF and painted mainly yellow and black. There is a barcode with the serial number for the taxi, and a small flag for Mega City One in the corner. There is some wear from production use and age but it remains in otherwise good condition.

Materials: Medium-Density Fibreboard.
