Judge Griffin's (Jurgen Prochnow) badge with a pair of council judge epaulettes from Danny Cannon's Judge Dredd. Griffin, Joseph Dredd (Sylvester Stallone), and their fellow Judges received standard-issue uniform badges that signified their roles as judge, jury, and executioner to the criminals of Mega-City One. After being falsely accused of the murder of a reporter, Judge Joseph Dredd (Sylvester Stallone) was sentenced to life imprisonment at a penal colony by the Council of Judges, who wore epaulettes with the number of gold stripes likely signifying rank. Earlier, Dredd himself wore similar epaulettes while speaking to a group of young trainees.

Judge Dredd received four Saturn Award® nominations: Best Science Fiction Film, Best Special Effects, Best Costume, and Best Make-Up. The film's visual style, including effects and costumes, was praised, with particular attention given to the judges' uniforms, which were conceived by legendary fashion designer Gianni Versace at Stallone's request.

This lot originates from Planet Hollywood. It consists of a metal badge for Griffin's Judge and two black plastic epaulettes with three slots in them, two of which are filled with gold-colored stripes. Created for production but ultimately unseen in the final cut, the badge is overlaid in gold and engraved "Griffin" inside a Mega-City One eagle and Hall of Justice crest emblem. It features a peg for attaching a pin for affixing to a uniform, as well as a strip of tape applied on the reverse. The leather-lined bottoms of the epaulettes feature snap-on straps, which would have been used to attach them to the jackets.
