A costume worn in the production of the sci-fi action movie Judge Dredd. Framed for the murder of a journalist, Judge John Dredd (Sylvester Stallone) is convicted to life in prison while his brother Rico (Armand Assante), presumed dead, takes control of the streets of Mega City One. Can Dredd reclaim his freedom, prove his innocence and save the city from the evil ex-Judge?
Worn by the iconic judge in Mega-City One before being stripped of his powers when he is framed for murder, the costume is comprised a full undersuit of tunic and leotard-like trousers and a belt set with the Hall of Justice buckle and Lawgiver holster. Over this is worn a set of vacform plastic, rubber and fibreglass shoulder armour with the Judge Dredd badge at the left shoulder and the famed judge helmet, which is made of fibreglass with a tinted plastic visor. The armour, helmet, uniform and belt are tagged and labelled with MBA Ltd costumier labels featuring Stallone's name. The codpiece is from a Rico costume. Well used with some corrosion on the shoulders of the armour, the costume remains in overall very good condition.
