John Chambers' military memorabilia from the 1930's onward. Chambers documented his life with scrapbooks and other ephemera

This lot consists of one red 40-page binder with 17 loose photos of Chambers' prosthetic work with Disabled Veterans; four paper- and/or leather-bound scrapbooks of varying page counts; 118 personal letters; 29 postcards; 64 unmailed postcards; 55 pieces of received mail; 16 travel brochures; six books; miscellaneous paper items; one framed black and white photo; and one framed Army of the United States certificate. The scrapbooks feature collections of military insignias and badges, as well as photographs from World War II, maps and paper clippings. This lot exhibits extreme paper fragility, grime buildup, rips, tears, and residue. Dimensions: 24" x 19" x 12" (61 cm x 48.35 cm x 30.5 cm)
