Jimi Hendrix's British work permit, valid from 19 July to 10 November 1967. This lot comes from the collection of Patricia "Trixie" Sullivan, personal assistant to Mike Jeffery between 1966 and 1973.

This paper permit covers some of the British dates on Hendrix's European tour, which he undertook following his departure from touring the US with The Monkees after protests by the Daughters of the American Revolution. The permit features Hendrix's full name, date of birth, employer, vocation and nationality. It exhibits some minor discolouration and the back page shows some creases from folding. Dimensions: 24 cm x 19 cm (9.5" x 7.5")

Additional provenance:

This lot comes from the collection of Patricia "Trixie" Sullivan, personal assistant to Mike Jeffery between 1966 and 1973. Jeffery was responsible for developing and managing the career of Jimi Hendrix, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Animals, Soft Machine and others.
