A stereo mix tape featuring the Jimi Hendrix Experience's first single "Hey Joe" and three B-sides. This lot comes from the collection of Patricia "Trixie" Sullivan, personal assistant to Mike Jeffery between 1966 and 1973.

This Ampex reel-to-reel tape features the Jimi Hendrix Experience's first single "Hey Joe", which was released in December 1966 and peaked at number 6 in the UK Singles Chart. In 2010 it was ranked at 201 on Rolling Stone magazine's 500 Greatest Songs of All Time list. Also on the tape are the B-sides "Stone Free", "51st Anniversary" and "Can You See Me". These are stereo mixes, and likely 'safety' copies of the songs.

The tape is stored in its original box, upon which the track listing is printed, along with the song lengths. Dimensions (box): 18.5 cm x 18.5 cm x 1.5 cm (7.25" x 7.25" x 0.5")

This lot comes from the collection of Patricia "Trixie" Sullivan, personal assistant to Mike Jeffery between 1966 and 1973. Jeffery was responsible for developing and managing the career of Jimi Hendrix, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Animals, Soft Machine and others.
