An Are You Experienced Mono mixes tape with a "Purple Haze" backing track tape by Jimi Hendrix and his band, the Jimi Hendrix Experience. This lot comes from the collection of Patricia "Trixie" Sullivan, personal assistant to Mike Jeffery between 1966 and 1973.

The Mono mixes Emitape features the tracks "Fire", "Foxy Lady", and "Purple Haze", all from the Jimi Hendrix Experience's debut studio album, Are You Experienced. Both the tape and its black case feature a Neckarklangwerke studio authenticity sticker. The tape also comes with its original metal Ampex reel and its original case. The information sections on the back of the case have been completed in blue ink, including the tracklist and the listing of "Chas Chandler" as producer.

The backing track recording for "Purple Haze" is dated "13 Dec 67" on its case in blue ink and labelled "Olympic NAB 15 I.P.S." Both tapes are 0.6 cm wide. Dimensions: 28 cm x 28 cm x 2.25 cm (11" x 11" x 1")
