A purple crystal necklace which once belonged to legendary rock musician Jimi Hendrix. Purchased after the success of his hit song "Purple Haze", Hendrix gave the necklace to his PA and friend Kathy Levine. This necklace was sold by Cooper Owen Auctions in 2003, and comes from the collection of Bob Levine, Hendrix's US Manager.

The hexagonal purple crystal, possibly an amethyst, is suspended on a silver-coloured metal chain. It comes in a large blue leather jewellery box, and is accompanied by a Cooper Owen letter of authenticity signed by Bob Levine. Dimensions (necklace): 35 cm x 1.5 cm x 1 cm (13 3/4" x 1/2" x 1/4"); (box): 19.5 cm x 19 cm x 3 cm (7 3/4" x 7 1/2" x 1 1/4")
