Navin Johnson's (Steve Martin) astronaut application from Carl Reiner's The Jerk. Johnson provided two forms of identification, his temporary driver's licence and his failed astronaut application form, when he went to the bank with his cashier's check for "two hundred and fifty big ones," which he soon realised was actually $250,000.

This application is printed with the header "Application for Astronaut Houston, Texas" featuring a NASA logo, typed answers to the application questions, and is dated and signed "4-20-79 Navin R. Johnson." It was folded and crumpled by production as it was meant to have been kept in Johnson's wallet. It exhibits some staining, edge wear, and a torn corner from use and age. Dimensions: 21.5 cm x 27.5 cm (8.5" x 10.75")
