A dress and necklace owned by the American singer and songwriter, Janis Joplin. Joplin personally donated this dress to Mickey Deans' (Judy Garland's husband) nightclub, as she saw he had other Rock n Roll memorabilia on display.

This green dress has three-quarter-length sleeves and is embellished with ivory and pink floral stitches accentuated by sequins. Accompanying the dress is a multi-coloured necklace crafted from glass beads - necklaces were a signature accessory Joplin was famously known for layering to complete her look. This lot is accompanied by a letter of authenticity signed by Deans confirming its provenance and dated "6/16/99."
