This lot will be auctioned on Saturday, November 5th. A set of stunt and metal weaponry from Lewis Gilbert's Bond film You Only Live Twice. Four-pointed throwing stars featured in Tiger Tanaka's (TetsurÃ´ Tanba) ninja school, where James Bond (Sean Connery) trained.

The lot comprises six four-pointed stunt shuriken (throwing stars), each with a small hole in the middle; two stunt tekko (knuckle dusters); two stunt pommelled kunai (throwing knives); a stunt tsuki yari (crescent blade); and two metal pommelled tekko-kagi (three-pronged claws). The stunt weapons are made of moulded resin and show signs of wear from production. The stunt shuriken each have small holes in the middle that were created when they were mounted in a museum display case.

Dimensions (largest): 19 cm x 14.5 cm x 2 cm (7 1/2 " x 14 3/4" x 3/4"); (smallest): 10 cm x 10 cm x 0.5 cm (4" x 4" x 1/4")

From the personal collection of Peter Nelson, previously displayed at his two museums, The Cars of the Stars and The Bond Museum in Keswick, Cumbria, until they closed in 2011.
