380. Sam Smith-Autographed "Writing's On The Wall" Sheet Music with 7" Single and Sleeve

Our expert's notes

Sheet music for Sam Smith's "Writing's On The Wall" from Sam Mendes' Spectre, autographed by the musician and framed with a 7" single of the song.
For the title song from 2015's Spectre, Sam Smith teamed up with James Napier (Jimmy Napes) to write and record "Writing's On The Wall", which was released on 25 September 2015 ahead of the film's release. It became the first James Bond theme to reach No. 1 on the UK Singles Chart and won the Golden Globe and Academy Award for Best Original Song in 2016, making it one of the most successful Bond themes ever.
The sheet music has been autographed by Smith in black ink and is mounted in a black wooden frame with acrylic glazing alongside a copy of the 7" vinyl single in its sleeve. The original Christie's display plaque is affixed to the rear of the frame. Dimensions: 60 cm x 47 cm x 2 cm (23.5" x 18.5" x 1")
Additional provenance: Lot 7, Christie's James Bond Spectre: The Auction, 18 February 2016.
