A henchman stunt rifle from Peter R. Hunt's Bond film On Her Majesty's Secret Service. The SPECTRE guards and Blofeld's (Telly Savalas) henchmen at the Alpine institute atop Piz Gloria all carried rifles, and notably used them during the ski chase as they tried to prevent Bond's (George Lazenby) escape.

This stunt weapon is based on the SIG SG 550 rifle and is made mostly of cast hollow resin with a blacked steel barrel tip and a brown leather body strap. The main body is painted metallic green, with the handle and butt painted black. It features a pressable button situated on the handle below a movable trigger. The item exhibits wear from production use and age, including several cracks, paint wear and a hole in the underside of the barrel. Dimensions: 117 cm x 7 cm x 25.5 cm (46" x 2 3/4" x 10")

Additional Provenance: From the personal collection of Peter Nelson, previously displayed at his two museums, The Cars of the Stars and The Bond Museum in Keswick, Cumbria, until they closed in 2011.
