The glossy double-sided advance style for Iron Man features a closeup of the suit's face and is aptly autographed by the man himself Robert Downey, Jr.

A very clean poster with some scattered crimping within the poster images. The autograph is authenticated and includes an additional COA from Beckett Authentication Services.

On May 2, 2008, the Marvel Cinematic Universe was born. That was the date on which the first film in that wide-ranging franchise, Iron Man, premiered to wild acclaim from both audiences and critics, setting in motion a cinematic revolution that would change movies in ways no one could have anticipated at the time. It made megastars of previously unknown actors, introduced a panoply of characters to an international audience, broke box office records left and right, and ushered in the "Super Hero Era" of film. And it all started here. Director John Favreau intended to cast Robert Downey, Jr. as billionaire playboy inventor Tony Stark, but executives were wary, given Downey's history with addiction and legal problems. Eventually, however, Favreu won out, and Downey turned the part into a star-making role, increasing his personal popularity and becoming the lynchpin around which the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe would revolve.
