Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un (Randall Park) melted bust and scalp from Evan Goldberg and Seth Rogen's 2014 action comedy, The Interview. In the movie, Dave Skylark (James Franco) and producer Aaron Rapoport (Seth Rogen) run the celebrity tabloid show "Skylark Tonight." When they land an interview with a surprise fan, North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un (Randall Park), they are recruited by the CIA to turn their trip to Pyongyang into an assassination mission. This bust was made for a lengthier death sequence in which President Kim is killed when his helicopter is struck by a missile. The scene was ultimately edited down to exhibit less gore following online threats which notoriously led to Sony limiting the films release after previously cancelling it altogether.
The bust consists of an upper torso that is made of a fiberglass frame and has been dressed in President Kim's finale attire. Inside the bust are numerous tubes which fed stage blood to the various points of damage around his face. Most of the silicone skin and hair has melted away, as this piece was burnt during production.
This item shows some wear due to production use, but remains in fine condition.
