Lieutenant Aldo Raine's (Brad Pitt) costume worn in Quentin Tarantino’s 2009 unique take on World War 2, Inglourious Basterds.
Lieutenant Aldo Raine is tasked with recruiting a team of American-Jewish soldiers for commando missions behind enemy lines. In 1944, they are given orders for a mission that could end the war in a single night - an attempt on Hitler’s life, killing him and his top commanders at a film premiere in Paris.
This uniform was worn partway through the movie when Raine was motivating his men, telling them just what they're in occupied Europe for and what they're going to achieve, riling them up for killing some Nazis. The costume consists of a thick brown woollen jacket with a Second Lieutenant’s single silver bar on the shoulders and a red USA Canada 1st Special Service Forces shoulder patch on the left shoulder, along with a pair of khaki brown M42 airborne jumpsuit trousers with large pockets and ties around the legs.
Both garments are in great condition with some light signs of wear. The trousers are marked as size 36R with a 34” inseam while the jacket is marked as a 38"-40" chest.
Materials: Man-Made Woven Fibres, Ferrous Metals.
