A German military jacket from the Quentin Tarantino war movie Inglourious Basterds. Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) is tasked with recruiting a team of American-Jewish soldiers for commando missions behind enemy lines. In 1944, they are given orders for a mission that could end the war in a single night - an attempt on Hitler’s life, killing him and his top commanders at a film premiere in Paris.
This jacket was worn by Eastern front war hero Fredrick Zoller (Daniel Bruhl), idolised for killing 250 enemy combatants in a single battle, when he attended the premiere of a film about his actions at the Paris cinema run by Jew-in-hiding Shosanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent).

The lavish jacket is made from cream-coloured wool with a crisp white cotton lining, black cuffs with elaborate silver embroidery, a black collar with embroidered silver Wehrmacht bars, black epaulettes with a “4” embossed on the metal button and commemorative Nazi Sniper badge on the left breast in recognition of his skills, an Oberschutze (Private First Class) patch on his left sleeve, a German-worded embroidered cuff title on the right sleeve, and finally a commemorative crossed sword pin and silver braid looping from his shoulder to centre button. A line of medals cast in plastic with red and blue ribbons run across the chest.

Displaying minimal wear from its time in use on the production, the jacket remains in excellent condition.
