A casting for a full-size Well of Souls sarcophagus replica from the production of Steven Spielberg's action-adventure film Raiders of the Lost Ark. Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) encountered sarcophagi and other ancient artifacts, including the Ark of the Covenant, in the Well of Souls.

Circa 1990s, Industrial Light & Magic (ILM) molded new sarcophagi for an unrelated project requiring Egyptian-style props from one of the Raiders sarcophagi preserved in the Lucasfilm Archives. This is an ornately hand-painted fiberglass casting for that mold with wood backing and holes for lifting and brackets for anchoring to walls. It exhibits some scuffing and paint flaking from age and the wood backing is splitting at the bottom. Dimensions: 30" x 19" x 89" (76.25 cm x 48.5 cm x 226.25 cm)
