Framed Ark of the Covenant concept artwork hand-painted by sketch artist Roy Carnon for Steven Spielberg's action-adventure Raiders of the Lost Ark. Carnon created this illustration for the scene in which Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) opened a bible to an illustration of the Ark to show government officials, and possibly as general production concept artwork as well. While printed Carnon artwork was used in the bible during filming, it was replaced during reshoots with an insert of artwork by Ralph McQuarrie.

This concept artwork of soldiers surrounding the illuminated Ark is rendered in mixed media on paper and mounted behind glass in a dark brown wooden frame. The paper exhibits some staining, uneven edges, and bending at its bottom corners. Dimensions: 24" x 28" x 1" (61 cm x 71.25 cm x 2.5 cm)
