A hand-drawn and coloured Ark of the Covenant production illustration from the production of Steven Spielberg's action-adventure film Raiders of the Lost Ark. Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) raced against the Nazis to find the legendary lost Ark of the Covenant.

This concept art is rendered in pencil, ink and watercolour on paper. It features the golden Ark, a couple of pencil notes, and "Idea - 'Ark of the Covenant' 'Raiders'" handwritten in ink beneath the piece. The artwork was drawn by assistant art director John Fenner, who has initialled it at the bottom right. This early design closely resembles what was ultimately seen in the film, with other designs by artists such as Joe Johnston not being as close to the final film version as this one. The page has only very minor staining and edge wear. Dimensions: 20.5 cm x 29.5 cm (8" x 11 1/2")
