Joe Johnston's bound revised fourth draft script from Steven Spielberg's Raiders of the Lost Ark. In the classic film, Indiana Jones (Harrison Ford) raced against German soldiers to find the lost Ark of the Covenant.

The franchise's inaugural film was 1981's highest-grossing film, winning numerous Academy Awards® and a BAFTA®. Its success led to Ford's recognition as a leading man. In 1999, the US Library of Congress selected the film for permanent preservation in its National Film Registry.

Used by Industrial Light & Magic's (ILM) visual effects art director Johnston, this lot features a 103-page fourth draft revised script dated February 1980 credited to Lawrence Kasdan and George Lucas and stamped script number "ROLA 102043" throughout. It is bound in green cardstock with "RAIDERS" along the spine. The first page features a handwritten note from Johnston claiming the script as his from production rendered in black ink. The spine exhibits frayed edges. Dimensions: 8.5" x 11" x 0.5" (21.75 cm x 28 cm x 1.5 cm)
